Once the Mail Archive executable has been downloaded, it MUST be run on a client machine which has Lotus Notes. Installation is a two part process, first, the Crossware Mail Archive Server needs to be installed on a server running Domino 6.5 or above. The second part is to 'hook' this into the routers of the actual Mail servers (in practice these do not have to be separate machines) in order to take a copy of the email.
As with any software installation the Terms & Agreements must be accepted before any progress can be made.
When 'Next' is selected the following screen is shown, at this point check that the Notes client is running before proceeding any further.
When 'Finish' is selected the following screen is shown, as is states it is imperative that you have the necessary permissions, please check these before continuing. If you are in any doubt then contact your administrator. Alternatively, here are the manual installation instructions.
Next, select the server to install the INDEX database Archive_Index_General on (Note: if running only one mail server then this can be the same machine).
